The French Grand Palace was once closed for repair and reopened in 2005,

mainly for holding short-term major cultural events,

Such as art exhibition, fashion show, etc.

The hall is surrounded by two circular corridors, leading to 58 exhibition halls.

Smallpox is an all hollow design, pursuing the art of nature.

You can enjoy the different sky under the hollow art.

As the title says, a python hovers in the French palace,

and the person who put it in is still a Chinese!

In 2016, artist Huang Yongzhen created a grand

installation work empire in the Grand Palace of Paris, France.

He is the seventh artist invited to hold an exhibition at the Grand Palace in Paris, France.

Since 2007, The Grand Palace has cooperated with

the French Ministry of culture and the French Museum alliance,

The monument project was founded for large-scale installation art,

and the most important artists in the world were invited to create.

German artist Ansem Kiefer, American sculptor Richard sella,

French artists Christine poltanski and Daniel buhong were invited to exhibit here.

The exhibition hall of the Grand Palace covers an area of 13500

square meters and is 35 meters high, which is a great challenge for any artist.

The whole building here uses a total of 9000 tons of steel,

and Huang's work Empire weighs 1000 tons, which is amazing.

The French Ministry of culture employed hundreds of workers,

who worked 20 hours a day and spent 12 days installing empire.

The moment you enter the French palace,

you are facing the seven layers of heavy rocks piled up by 305 containers,

It's not just spectacular, it's also a sign of how

small we are in the global industrial power relationship.

This show shows people the power of shaping our world.

These containers are divided into eight "islands",

but they feel more like business areas of different sizes.

The container is printed with a variety of words and patterns,

such as "capital" - it may represent capital or capital.

For example, "Cai" - it definitely refers to the expectation of money.

In addition, there are many containers printed in Arabic.

In the past two decades, nothing in the world has

changed the world more than the Internet and containers,

They are the engines of global capitalism.

The reason why container creation is also related to the artist Huang Yongzhen's own experience.

When he moved to Paris in 1989 and returned to his hometown Xiamen many years later,

he found that his hometown had developed into a trading port,

The quay is full of containers. This scene inspired his imagination many years later.

Today, 90% of the world's trade needs containers.

It can be said that container is one of the most obvious characteristics of economic globalization.

This also reveals the theme of "empire": in the history of Empire,

it pursues military power and foreign colonization,

But today, the Empire does not need a fixed territory, as long as it can dominate the economy,

trade and market. The Empire became a swimming force.

In the work, a 133 ton, 254 meter long giant skeleton

(833 feet) Python threatens a container with a giant Napoleon hat.

The aggressive head snake is the industrial force of the global economic forces.

Under the threat of Python to Napoleon's hat,

It symbolizes the change of the times and the fragmentation of capitalism.

As a metaphor of China's large-scale economic power

dethroning the huge old power of western countries.

Python hovers around every corner of the container.

The thick and huge snake bones are creepy,

Such a magnificent sculpture is an unprecedented challenge for contemporary artists.

With the unique hollow dome of the French palace, it's really dazzling to look up.

The hat is 7.5m wide and made of asphalt.

In 1807, Napoleon and the anti French Alliance launched the battle of ELou, and Napoleon finally won.

"Napoleon's hat" is made by artists with 3D printing after

being scaled up according to the objects left over from that campaign.

These containers evoke globalization as a tool for the flow of wealth,

while the two corner cap evokes endless power struggles,

It drives the world and all industrialists, politicians, soldiers and tyrants to yearn for that hat.

The snake is crawling and opening its mouth, which seems to threaten the ambition of these powers,

symbolizing the endless cycle of glory and destruction.
